The beds were really comfortable with deep pillows.
I had a noisy neighbor who was truly inconsiderate, having loud late-night conversations that ruined my sleep. The stairs at this property are quite steep, which made it difficult to navigate with luggage. Parking instructions were vague, making the arrival process frustrating and time-consuming.

Perfect for WW1 history buffs
Loved hanging out in the cozy bar area after a long day of exploring. The history around here is just amazing, really gives you a sense of what went down during the war. Only thing was, the room was pretty basic, but who needs fancy when you're in such a cool spot?

Staying here with my family was wonderful. we loved exploring the rich history around this charming place. The cozy garden provided a lovely spot to unwind after our daily adventures. The comfortable beds ensured we got a good night's sleep.
In my kids’ opinion, a play area would be great.

The room in the garden building was comfortable and had a cozy atmosphere. The beds were super comfy, and everything was clean. The decor was simple but it felt nice to be in such a historic place. I did notice there were no hairdryers, which was a bit inconvenient. the stairs were steep, which could be tricky with luggage. But overall, it was a nice stay!

What a fantastic getaway with friends! We loved exploring the historic house and soaking up the atmosphere. The continental breakfast was top-notch, offering plenty of choices to fuel our adventures to local sites. Plus, the tranquil gardens were perfect for relaxing at the end of a day. The hosts made us feel at home, providing a delightful experience we won't forget.
Our stay wasn't entirely perfect. One of our friends had some trouble getting a good night’s sleep due to a noisy neighbor. It would be great if the staff could find a way to improve sound insulation in the rooms.

Quirky historical experience with a nice garden area for unwinding. Expected a live sport event but there was none during our stay. Not enough clear parking instructions, made arrival confusing.

Staying at Talbot House was a unique and enjoyable experience. The historical charm of the building really stood out to me. I enjoyed learning about the history through the museum during my visit. My room in the garden building was comfortable, with a cozy atmosphere that made me feel at home. The continental breakfast offered a lot of choices, and I found the quality was excellent. The hosts were welcoming and gave great local recommendations. I did find it a bit inconvenient that rooms don’t come with hairdryers. I was fortunate the host lent me one, but travelers should definitely consider bringing their own. The location was also tricky to navigate with the parking instructions. Clearer guidance would help. the stairs could be a challenge for those with mobility issues, as I noticed they were quite steep. Even with these issues, my stay was pleasant overall, and it’s a place I might return to soon.

this place is so cool for history lovers. the rooms are comfy even tho they're simple, and the breakfast had so much variety. loved the beautiful garden space where we chilled after exploring. the hosts are super friendly and welcoming, really made us feel at home. , plus, the museum attached is really interesting and adds a lot to the visit!
the only downsides were that there were no hairdryers in the rooms, which was kinda inconvenient, and the stairs were pretty steep so can be tough if you got heavy luggage.
